A unicorn that is out of this world!
So many of us know a family with a child who has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. How much do we know about what is going on in a child’s body everyday?
What about the children? How much do they know and understand what it means to be a type 1 diabetic and what is going on inside of them, both physically and emotionally?
The new book will soon be on amazon. This picture book gives both children and adults a view of what battle goes on in their body and what victories are happening daily as they experience it!
Avhon’s Adventure as Super Sugar Baby was so eye opening for me as I learned about Type 1 Diabetes and the struggles of so many children. They are real life heroes for sure!
I am so thankful for this opportunity to start a new life in 2021!
It has been a difficult year for many of us.
I believe we can encourage each other and ourselves as we start a new year.
I haven’t been posting, but have been busy writing . I encourage everyone to set goals, trust God and walk in faith this year!
God bless…
Tina
I came across this today. I miss my mom…

Update to a 3 yr old hero!
Avhon has his pump started!
No more injections, no more crying, no more getting angry at mommy for having to stick him, too young to know why he had to have his insulin.
Mom cried when she saw his pump working and the reality of “no more injections”!
Change is difficult. Even a good change is difficult. The world is experiencing some major changes. What are we going to do as we are taken out of our comfort zones? This is a time where we must use this pandemic as a stepping stone. Step up to the new way of life.
Creativity will bring some changes as we face the battle against the COVID-19 virus. Parents, educators, students and all those involved in the education of our future generation will step up. Let’s think , pray and act on our creative ideas as our world is in turmoil. We can overcome !
I woke up checked babies sugars, gave him his injections and medicines then changed his diaper. Then I made sure Nina got to school, then woke up amaje made him breakfast, fed him, the baby and his friend.
I swept and mopped and cleaned the potty then I took them to school. I came back -fed the baby again and gave him insulin then I took dogs out. I did the dishes. Then I made five different phone calls to set appointments up for kids. I cleaned up Avhon’s marker mess then I cleaned the fridge cause there was marker everywhere then I had to bandage my butt because Avhon bit me 😳lol.
This is all within 4 hours! I love it , lol. Do you know why? It is because I thank God that I can wake up and do all these things and take care of my babies 👶! There are moms that complain about the stupidest things and I don’t know how they can! I guess when you experience something like your toddler being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes it makes you appreciate so much more! I am happy to clean the potty pick up poop 💩 (not really) lol, clean up Avhon’s beautiful master pieces! Have my eight year old whine that mom needs to help him get ready for school. Get those big tight hugs and big kisses, be able to open my eyes in the morning and see my beautiful kids to come down the steps and have my kids run to me and say mommy and jump and say baby and give me hugs 🤗 I love having my daughter ask me questions and share her opinion even if it leads to debates lol 😂 at least I know my daughter can speak her mind and speak up. I just love being a Mom and I want to thank you and Pop for raising me to love my kids the way I do!–

Lord, help me to be grateful for what I have, to remember that I do't need most of what I want, and that joy is found in simplicity and generosity. ~ Adam Hamilton

Romans 8:16-17: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
