The essentials we need:
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
One of my favorite books in the Bible is Ephesians. I know that our heavenly father cares about every aspect of our lives. When I feel overwhelmed and start to worry, I go back to Ephesians 3 :20. Now, unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. (king James Bible)
It isn’t what we can do, or what anyone else can do for us. It is what the almighty God can do for us and through us.Our God is an awesome God. God is a God of miracles. Our God gives us the ability to overcome circumstances in our lives. It is through the word of the Lord that we can get the wisdom to know what to do when we are at a lost for answers on our own.
Paul’s prayer for those he knew needed spiritual wisdom was ” I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious father of our Lord Jesus Christ , to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.” NLT
When we are faced with tough questions, where do we go for answers?
I encourage you to seek God in all things. There is power in the Word of God.
I was a little girl who grew up in poverty. My father spent years in prison. He later died in prison. My mother struggled with five children to raise. God changed our lives. I am married to a wonderful man. I found my purpose in life. I’ve earned two degrees and have worked with children for 27 years. God has blessed me. God has brought me through many valleys and has brought down many mountains.I am blessed with five children and eleven grandchildren. Every one is a blessing. No matter what we go througn in life.
I know that our God is greater than anything and can do exceedingly above and beyond what we can imagine! I am a fine example of how God can take a person out of poverty, shame and heartache as a child and set my feet upon solid ground! On Christ, I stand. All other ground is sinking sand.
Never take your eyes off of what the Lord can do!
How busy are we? Coming and going ..To and from…
Summer is about half way over. Weather seems to be up and down.
Rain, sunshine, wind and humidity are all part of the recent weather patterns.
Have we had time to stop and look around us?
Even in the rain, we can look up above us.
Even with the sun shining down hard on us, we can still look up above!
My recent vacation to Florida reminded me of the blessings of coming back home. Even when we have fun, explore new things and places, arriving home brings a sense of relief after traveling.
I watched the two blue herons in our pond. One took off flying and landed in a tree.
Its’ head held up high, stared upward as to say
“Look up above, where all the blessing flow!”
